Our History

Genesis Realty Consultants, Inc. was formed in 2012 by its Founder and President, Robert S. Rickel. Since its inception in 2012, Genesis’ philosophy has been “Exceptional Customer Service”. Whether it has been in its core business of Real Estate Brokerage, or in Construction Management and Owners Representation, Robert has always been single-mindedly focused on making sure that his customers get the exceptional service that they deserve.

Robert followed in his father’s footsteps, as Morris Rickel had been involved in the Real Estate Development and Construction Industry in South Florida since 1978. A successful entrepreneur, Morris Rickel came to South Florida with his family from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Morris and Robert teamed up in 1987 and started developing single family home communities throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties. They developed over 1200 homes over a ten-year period, from starter homes to large estate homes on acre lots.

Robert went on to work as a VP/Project Manager for Toll Brothers and then GL Homes, Florida’s leading homebuilder. After steering GL Homes’ large estate home division in Davie through 2006, Robert went back out own his own building custom homes, additions and commercial tenant improvements while building his real estate and consulting business.

Now, Genesis Realty Consultants, Inc. has become an innovator in the home renovation business and a highly respected consulting firm for real estate sales and development. We look forward to several exciting upcoming projects in 2020 and in the years to come.

Meet the Team

Robert Rickel

With over 35 years of experience as a Builder/Developer, Licensed General Contractor, and Real Estate Broker in South Florida, my extensive knowledge of the local real estate market enables me to find hidden gems in the most desirable South Florida communities and transform them from their original production home look to today’s most cutting edge designed living spaces. On the Real Estate Brokerage side, we will help you make informed decisions about buying or selling a home in South Florida. Having a member of your team who is trained to accurately assess the value of properties and the potential costs involved in renovating a property considered for purchase, is invaluable in our constantly fluctuating and transient marketplace.

Steven Hersh

Executive VP/Advisory Services

Steven has been with Genesis Realty Consultants, Inc. since its inception. He has over 40 years of experience in the South Florida business community and has been involved in Real Estate on both the Residential and Commercial sides. As a successful entrepreneur, he brings extensive knowledge of the real estate industry to our Team and is involved in Strategic Planning and Investor Relations.

Our Realtors

Ana Panizza

Ana has been involved in the South Florida Real Estate community for over 10 years. She has been an asset to the Team as both an active Realtor as well as an Assistant to the President with her extensive knowledge and experience in the Construction Industry. She uses that knowledge to her advantage when dealing with both Buyers and Sellers in helping them assess the value of the properties they seek to Buy and/or Sell.

Michael Obrand

Michael joined the Genesis Realty Consultants Team in 2016 and has been steadily building his business through Networking and Community Involvement. He has focused his practice on working with Buyers and has earned their trust, often assisting them with multiple transactions. Mike is an avid Hockey fan, and enjoys playing Ice Hockey when not working or attending to his growing family.

Aaron O’Hara

Aaron recently joined the Genesis Realty Consultants Team after earning his Florida Real Estate Salesman’s license. He has been involved in the South Florida Construction Industry for many years, and is interested in pursuing his career in both Real Estate and Property Management.
